Indian festival are incomplete without sweets. Fast ladoo sweets are very auspicious and are made for a particular festival. One such simple, tasty and healthy sweet recipe is akki thambittu with nuts, jaggery and rice flour.

Ingredients of Akki Thambittu 

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • ½ cup roasted gram dal
  • ½ cup peanuts
  • 2 tbsp sesame
  • ¼ cup dry coconut
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • ¼ cup water

How To MAKE Akki Thambittu 

  1. Dry roast the rice flour. Put into bowl.
  2. Add the powdered gram daal, crushed peanut powder to the bowl.
  3. Add roasted sesame seeds, ¼ cup roasted dry coconut and ¼ tsp cardamom powder.
  4. Now add ghee and mix until the flour turns moist.
  5. filter the jaggery syrup and add to the flour mixture.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Grease your hands with ghee and start making ladoo.
  8. Atlast thambittu is ready to enjoy for some days.
