It is the perfect tea time snack for a healthy start. The Colocasia root that is being used in this Recipe is rich in Vitamin A, Magnesium, Potassium etc., which makes it a perfect dish to include in a healthy diet.

Ingredients of Arbi patties 

  • 250 grams arbi
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon finely minced ginger
  • green chillies, finely chopped
  • 8 sprigs coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 stalks mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1/2 singhara flour
  • 500 ml oil
  • Sesame seeds

How to Make Arbi patties

  1. Pressure cook Arbi. Peel and mash.
  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Using wet hands, portion the arbi dough into small balls.
  4. Press the balls into patties.
  5. Roll the patties in sesame seeds.
  6. Heat oilin Kadhai. Gently place the patties in hot oil and fry the patties till golden.
  7. Drain the cutlets on paper towels.
  8. Serve Arbi Cutlets.
