Children are fond of green banana kofta curry. We generally prepare this recipe at home in navratri fasting.

Ingredients For Kofta

  • Green Banana- 500 Gms
  • Besan or samak atta(fasting purpose)- 2 tablespoon
  • Green Chilly- 2
  • Ginger-1 inch in length (grated)
  • Green coriander- 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala- 1/4 small spoon
  • Paneer- 100 Gms
  • Salt
  • Oil

For Tari

  • Tomato- 250 Gms
  • Green Chilli- 2 to 3
  • Ginger -1 inch in length
  • Cashew nuts- 25 (soak it before one hour)
  • Cream- 2 tablespoon
  • Oil- 2 tablespoon
  • Asafetida – 1 pinch
  • Cumin seed- 1/2 small spoon
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 small spoon
  • Coriander Powder – 1 small spoon
  • Red chilli – 1/4 small spoon
  • Salt- (According to taste)
  • Garam masala- 1/4 small spoon
  • Green coriander- 1 tablespoon

How to make Banana Kofta

  1. Firstly boil the bananas in cooker till one whistle comes.
  2. Now peel the bananas and mash them and put the besan or samak aata, green chilli, ginger, green coriander, paneer and salt and mixed them properly. Pour two tablespoon of water and mix it.
  3. Heat a pan, put oil and make koftas.
  4. Now for gravy grind tomato,green chilli and ginger in a grinder.
  5. Grind the cashew nuts and raisins make granules of them. Now put the cream and grind again.
  6. Take a pan, put cumin seeds and asafetida, add all three paste in it till the masala release the oil.
  7. Put some water into the masala, when the masala starts boiling for 5 minutes.
  8. Put the garam masala and salt into the Tari and mix them properly. Now put the koftas into the tari and turn off the gass.
  9. Garnish with green corriander and Banana kofta is ready for serving.
