One of my absolute favorites was always the Bounty Chocolate bar. If you’ve never had a bounty bar before, they are amazing, especially if you like coconut and chocolate. In the US they are called Mounds Bars or Almond Joy.
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Freezer Time: 30 minutes
- Total Time: 40 minutes
Ingredients of Bounty Bars
- 3 cups shredded coconut
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Cup dark chocolate
How to Make Bounty Bars
-
-
Coconut filling: You can mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and blend for 2 minutes.
-
Spread the coconut filling on silicone mold and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
-
Now melt chocolate. It’s best to do this using a double boiler method.
-
Remove the coconut candy bars from the freezer and dip into the melted chocolate.
-
I double-dip, so that all the surfaces are properly covered.
-
You could also pop the coconut bars back in the fridge.
-
Once set, your coconut chocolate bars are ready to enjoy.
