Chicken Parmesan is a popular Italian-American dish made of breaded chicken cutlets topped with tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. Here’s a recipe to make it.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 8 mozzarella cheese slice
- Fresh basil leaves chopped
Instructions:
- Firstly Season the boneless, skinless chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Then dip chicken in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, and pour the marinara sauce over the top. Add the mozzarella cheese slices on top of the sauce.
- Bake about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving. We can use air fryer also.
- Enjoy your delicious Chicken Parmigiana!
