Everyone loves chocolates, so today we will try chocolate pastry.  It is best for kids parties or tea time.

Ingredients of Chocolate Pastry

  • 2-1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup butter
  • Chocolate, chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • FILLING:
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • Chocolate, chopped
  • 2-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • GANACHE:
  • Chocolate, chopped
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream

How To Make Chocolate Pastry

  1. Cook milk, butter and chocolate over low heat until melted. After remove from the heat; cool down for 10 minutes.
  2. Beat eggs and vanilla; stir in chocolate mixture until smooth.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt; gradually add to chocolate mixture.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes in pastry mould.
  5. For filling, melt butter and chocolate in a pan.
  6. Add sugar and heavy whipping cream until smooth.
  7. Put chocolate in a small bowl. In a small saucepan, bring cream just to a boil. Pour over chocolate; whisk until smooth. Cool, stirring occasionally, until ganache reaches a spreading consistency.
  8. Place one layer of pastry on a serving plate; spread with half of the filling. Repeat layers. Top with remaining pastry layer.
  9. Spread ganache over top and sides of pastry.
  10. Store in the refrigerator.
