Ingredients of Dahi aloo for Navratri
- 2 cups Potatoes boiled
- ⅓ cup Curd
- ⅔ cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 Green chili chopped finely
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon Peanuts
- Rock Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon Cilantro or coriander leaves chopped finely
How to make Dahi aloo for Navratri
Take yogurt and water in a bowl. Whisk it well till it is smooth.
Heat the ghee in a pan.
Once hot add cumin seeds.
Then add ginger and green chilies.
Add crushed peanuts. Mix and cook for a minute.
Add red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt.
Stir and cook for 30 seconds.
Add boiled potatoes. Mix well.
Add prepared yogurt-water mixture.
Cook for 10 minutes.
After that mash few pieces of potatoes using back of a spatula.
And again simmer for 5 minutes.
Add chopped cilantro leaves. Serve hot.
