INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARING THE CREAM CHEESE BLEND
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, minced garlic and Italian herbs and mix well. Divide into 4 equal portions.
SEASON AND MAKE THE BURGERS
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with the garlic powder and salt and pepper.
- Divide the burgers into 8 equal portions. Shape the meat into balls and flatten it into about 1/4 “thick patty. Don’t forget to make burgers a bit oversized to allow for shrinkage during cooking. In the middle of 4 patties, pour part of the cream cheese mixture.
- Top each of the four patties with the cream cheese mixture. Gently press down on the burgers to form a large burger.
- Grill the burgers as desired.
- When you are almost ready to remove the burgers, add a slice of provolone cheese on top of each burger. Let the cheese melt by closing the grill (or placing the lid on the burgers if you’re using something other than a grill).
CREAMY GARLIC BURGER SAUCE
- Boil 1/4 cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the minced garlic and garlic powder. Boil until the water is almost evaporated, about 5 minutes. It is normal for some water to remain, but you want very little of it.
- Stir in the heavy cream, parsley, pepper and salt.
- In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water and stir until dissolved. Add to the cream mixture.
- Continue to boil, stirring constantly, until thickened. About 3 minutes.
- Remove from fire. It will continue to thicken upon cooling.
GATHER ALL
- Place the burgers on the bottom of the brioche buns.
- Pour the creamy garlic burger sauce over the burger.
- Top with brioche bread.
