Gujarati kadhi is a Gujarati version of kadhi. It is a very popular Gujarati dish made from buttermilk or dahi and gram flour. Kadhi is an essential part of Gujarati cuisine.
Ingredients of Gujarati Kadhi
- 1 cup curd
- 3 tbsp besan
- ½ tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cup water
- 1 tbsp ghee
- ½ tsp mustard
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp methi
- 3 clove
- 1 inch cinnamon
- 1 dried red chilli
- pinch hing
- few curry leaves
- 2 chilli
- ¾ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp coriander
How to Make Gujarati Kadhi

Take curd, besan, ginger paste and sugar.

Add 2 cup water and whisk smooth without forming any lumps.

Now heat ghee and splutter mustard, cumin, methi, clove, cinnamon, dried red chilli, pinch hing, few curry leaves and chilli.

Put in prepared curd besan mixture and mix well.

keeping the flame on low, stir for 5 minutes or until the mixture comes to a boil.

Boil for 20 minutes on medium flame stirring occasionally.

Add water adjusting consistency as required.

Add salt and simmer for 2 minutes.

finally, add coriander and serve gujarati kadhi with hot steamed rice.
