Italian Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the cookie sheets.

Step 2

Together cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Mix the egg and vanilla. Mix the flour and baking powder; stir into creamy mixture until blended. Divide the dough into portions the size of a walnut. Roll each piece into a rope, then form a loop. Place cookies at 2 inches distance on greased cookie sheets.

Step 3

Bake, 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are firm and golden.
