As, a foodie I believe this treat is best celebrated during festivals Bringing it down to Indian festivals, it has to be during this season of Diwali. Halwa calls for one of the simplest celebration. Papaya halwa is healthy and easy to digest dessert in navratri festivals.

Ingredients of Papaya Halwa
- 1 teaspoon + 1 tablespoon Ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 tablespoon Cashew
- 2 cups Papaya grated
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ½ cup Milk
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
How to make Papaya Halwa

Heat ghee in a pan, fry cashews and put in a bowl.

Now add grated papaya in another ghee.

Cook for 10 minutes. Do stir once in a while.

Now add sugar and milk.

Continue cooking till it is dry and gets halwa consistency.

Now mix 1 teaspoon of ghee and switch off gas.

Lastly, add fried cashews and cardamom powder.

Halwa is ready to serve.
