I love garlic bread, especially those warm-off-the-oven, garlicky, buttery, aromatic pull apart garlic bread that I can just easily tear off and munch away. This pull apart bread’s texture is definitely something to write home about. The exterior is golden crisp right out of the oven, sealing in a soft and flaky center.

INGREDIENTS of Pull Apart Gralic Bread

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup  milk 
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 7 cups bread flour

For Topping:

  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 2 Tablespoon fresh oregano
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • Add warm water to the bowl in mix with mixer. Sprinkle water with sugar and yeast. Stir and let stand 10 minutes until foamy.
  • Mix in butter, milk, salt and 3 cups flour. Stir in additional flour gradually.
  • Add enough flour until dough is smooth.
  • Divide dough into 2 equal portions.
  • Combine the butter, parsley, oregano and minced garlic in a bowl.
  • Cut dough into pieces; dip into butter mixture.
  • Layer the buttery pieces into greased pan.
  • Cover loaves and let rise until doubled.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle with kosher salt.
  • After 30 minutes your Pull Apart Gralic Bread is ready to serve.
