Rava Laddu also known as Suji ke Laddu is a festive sweet of delicious balls made with cream of wheat, sugar, ghee, nuts and flavored with ground cardamom.

Ingredients of Rava Laddoo

  • ¼ cup ghee
  •  cup rava suji
  • ½ cup coconut
  •  cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp cashew
  • 2 tbsp raisins

How to Make Rava Laddoo

  • Take a pan heat ghee and add rava.
  • Roast on low flame.
  • Make sure not to roast on high flame as it changes the color of rava.
  • Add coconut and roast for 2 minutes.
  • Take sugar and water in a kadhai.
  • Boil the sugar until 1 string sugar syrup consistency is reached.
  • Turn off the flame and add roasted rava.
  • Keep stirring until the rava is well combined with sugar syrup.
  • Heat ghee in a pan. Roast cashew and raisins until it turns golden brown.
  • Add fried cashew, raisins, and cardamom powder.
  • Mix well until the mixture turns moist.
  • Start preparing the ladoo immediately.
  • Enjoy rava laddu for a week when stored in an airtight container.
