Ingredients of Sambhar Masala

  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup coriander seeds
  • ¼ cup cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp methi
  • 2 tbsp urad dal
  • 1 tbsp chana dal
  • ½ cup curry leaves
  • 100 gram dried red chilli
  • 1 tsp turmeric

How to Make Sambhar Masala

  • Heat coconut oil and saute coriander seeds.
  • Transfer to a large plate.
  • Heat coconut oil, add cumin seeds and methi, urad dal and chana dal.
  • Roast on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  • Add curry leaves and roast well.
  • Heat coconut oil and saute dried red chilli.
  • Transfer to a large plate and cool them.
  • Add turmeric, grind to a fine powder.
  • finally, Sambar powder is ready to prepare.
