The red chilli pickle aka lal mirch ka achar tastes awesome.Sometimes everybody likes something spicy along with their meals. At that time chili pickle tastes great. Let’s make the Stuffed Red Chili Pickle.

Ingredients of Stuffed Mirchi ka achar

  • 300 grams fresh red chilies
  • 4 tablespoons mustard seeds
  • tablespoons dry mango powder 
  • tablespoons fennel seeds 
  • tablespoons fenugreek seeds 
  • ¼ teaspoon asafoetida 
  • tablespoons salt
  • tablespoons turmeric powder
  • 5 tablespoons mustard oil
  • cup mustard oil

How to Make Stuffed Mirchi ka achar

  • Rinse fresh red chillies, The chilies have to completely dry before you proceed with stuffing them with the pickle masala.
  • Remove the crowns from the red chillies. Then with a knife make a slit on each red chilli.
  • Take mustard seeds, saunf and fenugreek seeds in a small grinder jar.
  • Powder the spices coarsely.
  • Take the coarsely powdered spices in a mixing bowl or pan.
  • Also add dry mango powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt.
  • Mix very well with a spoon.
  • Add mustard oil in the coarsely ground pickle masala.
  • Take a portion of the pickle masala and stuff in each red chilli.
  • Now place each stuffed red chilli in a clean glass jar or ceramic jar.
  • Add any leftover pickle masala in the jar.
  • Then put mustard oil in the jar.
  • Close the jar with its lid. Then shake the jar.
  • Remove the lid. Place a muslin cloth on the mouth of the jar.
  • Place the pickle jar in the sun. keep in the sun for about 5 to 7 days.
