Jelly like dessert eaten in East and Southeast Asia. Thai Coffee & Cream Jelly is popular in thailand. It’s light, refreshing and delicious.

Ingredients of Thai Coffee & Cream Jelly

LAYER

  • 6 Tbsp Thai coffee powder 
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 ½ tsp agar agar powder 
  • ½ cup sugar
  • salt

CREAM LAYER

  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 2 ½ tsp agar agar powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup evaporated milk
  • ¾ cup coconut milk 
  • salt
  • mold

How to Make Thai Coffee & Cream Jelly

  1. Steep the Thai coffee powder in boil water for about 10 minutes. 
  2. Mix agar agar powder and the remaining 1 ½ cups water in a small pot and boil.
  3. After boiling, put off the liquid and look to see if there are any grains of powder stuck to the spoon.
  4. Add the coffee, sugar and a little pinch of salt to the agar agar solution.
  5. Keep the pot covered and hot while you make the cream layer.

MAKE THE CREAM LAYER: 

  1. Mix the agar agar powder and the water in a small pot. Bring to a full boil.
  2. Once it comes to a full boil, turn down the heat and check to see that the agar agar powder has completely dissolved. 
  3. Add the coconut milk, evaporated milk, sugar and salt to the agar agar solution.
  4. Bring to a simmer to make sure all the sugar has dissolved.
  5. Keep the pot covered and hot.
