To make your fasting experience tasteful, here we have a variation of kadhi that you might not have heard before! Unlike normal kadhi, this Vrat Ki Kadhi is cooked using water chestnut flour, yoghurt, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves and a few common spices which are eaten during fast.

Ingredients of Vrat ki Kadhi
- ½ cup yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Singhare ka atta
- ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
- Rock salt
- Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tablespoon Cilantro
For Tempering:
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
- Dried red chilies
- Curry leaves
How to Make Vrat ki Kadhi

Take yogurt, singhare ka atta, rock salt, red chili powder and sugar in a bowl. Whisk all of them.

Now add water and whisk again to mix.

Take this mixture into a kadhai and turn the heat on medium.

Simmer for 10 minutes or until thickens.

Heat ghee in a small tadka pan on medium heat. Once hot add cumin seeds and let them sizzle a bit.

Then add dried red chili and curry leaves.

Immediately add this tempering to the simmering kadhi and mix well.

Garnish with chopped cilantro.
